MHS Welcomes MDwise Hoosier Care Connect Members

As of April 1, 2017, all Hoosier Care Connect (HCC) members previously enrolled with MDwise have been reassigned to either Managed Health Services (MHS) or to Anthem. As announced in Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) bulletin BT201713, MDwise is no longer a health plan option under the Hoosier Care Connect program.

Providers are reminded they must check member eligibility through the IHCP eligibility verification system (EVS) – either through the Provider Healthcare Portal or through the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. Providers cannot rely on or require member identification cards as verification of IHCP eligibility or proof of MCE assignment.

If you have any questions regarding a member’s status, contact MHS at 1-877-647-4848. We will be working cooperatively with MDwise, providers and members to ensure that member services are not interrupted.

MHS has a strong Hoosier Care Connect program that includes individual care coordination services, the CentAccount Healthy Rewards program, a 24-hour Nurse Advice Line, and a mobile app and secure portal so members can access their health information anytime. We also offer enhanced transportation services, including unlimited rides and statewide coverage.
