MHS Serves, the health equity program from MHS, announces the next opportunity for partnership in continuation of its efforts to support key community-based programs and resources across Indiana that focus on reducing and eliminating health disparities.
The next partnership opportunity will focus on youth mental health. This new program reflects MHS’ purpose of pursuing health equity for Hoosiers. MHS Serves will achieve measurable impact for our communities through partnerships that invest in initiatives aimed at dismantling barriers to health. MHS Serves is a collaboration between MHS and its long-time partner Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC) and Black Onyx Management.
“I’m proud to announce that the next funding opportunity from MHS Serves will focus on youth mental health,” said MHS Interim President and CEO, Christina Hage. “We recognize the demand for youth mental health services is a critical need for the communities in which our members live and work, and by addressing this need through professional support, technical and programming resources, and public awareness, we can strive to continue our mission of transforming the health of the community we serve, one person at a time.”
This new partnership opportunity, Youth Mental Health Empowerment Program, will support the expansion or enhancement of current programs, services, initiatives, and resources that directly address youth access to healthcare, mental health, and trauma-informed care.
The funds may be used for professional development, program implementation, technical assistance and consulting services, enhancement of infrastructure, and community outreach. Organizations interested in applying for partnership funding can find the guidelines and application at MHS Serves, and can attend one of the information sessions Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. ET, Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET, or Friday, February 7, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET,.
