Indiana SNAP recipients will begin receiving maximum benefit amounts in April

Indiana Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients will begin receiving maximum benefit amounts in April.

Starting on Sunday, April 5, families who benefit from SNAP will get extra funds to help with food and other support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The extra amount each household receives is based on their size. SNAP households who are not already getting the max amount will be given extra to reach it. Those who already receive the max sum will not be given more.

Benefits will come via electronic benefit transfer. Amounts will be paid out based on the first letter of your last name. When can you expect to see yours? View this schedule here. Payment begins on the fifth of each month, and ends on the 23rd.
